April 2. Important updates on a variety of topics.

1. Executive summary. By Friday, April 9, please submit a one-page pdf executive summary to exsum@ibecc.net. Details.
2. Registration for the “Moral Compass” competition has been expanded and extended to Wednesday, April 7. Details.
3. Team contacts have received initial information about the Friday schedule. Please let them know about any potential conflicts. Details.
4. Please be aware of the new $300 essay competition. The prize will go to one winning author/team, but submitting an essay will be sufficient for the organization you’re describing to quality to share in the $2,000 IBECC will be distributing. Details.
5. If you would like to be able to practice on Zoom without any time restrictions, please let us know and we’ll add you to IBECC’s Zoom account.
6. A few new short videos have been added by Professor White. Details.
7. Please note that all presentations on the 15th and 16th will be streamed live over Zoom. Anyone interested can watch them. Please alert friends and family. This will require registration ahead of time. We’ll be sending out instructions.
8. When we do IBECC in person, judges typically engage in some informal conversation with the team to get some sense of who you are. That’s harder to do online, but we want to give judges the opportunity to get to know you a little ahead of time. We’d appreciate it if each team would record a short video (2-3 minutes) in which you introduce yourselves. Please send this by Friday, April 9 to videos@ibecc.net.
