Re: Hotel
While the competition will be held at San Francisco State University’s 160 Spear Street operation, we’ll all be staying at the Parc 55 hotel at 55 Cyril Magnin Street. This is an excellent location, just two blocks from Market Street and access to the Muni public transportation system. We will have final confirmation of the rate when the registration link is issued, but we expect the cost will be $159 plus 18% occupancy tax per room per night. We’ll let you as soon as we have the link itself.
Three very important points.
The discounted room rate will be available only through Friday, March 7. So please make reservations as soon as we give you the link.
If the group reservations do not hit 80% of what we requested by then (based on the hotel questionnaire teams responded to), IBECC will be penalized.
The block we have access to consists of both single and double occupancy rooms. If only one person is staying in a room, please be sure to request a single. If two people will be staying in a room, request double occupancy. Only one-half of our rooms are double occupancy, so we need to ensure we don’t run out of those because single persons unintentionally reserved a double-occupancy room.
