Memo 9

Hello Teams,

Here are some important updates, as well as upcoming deadlines.

  • First, here’s a draft of the schedule for the the 10-minute and 90-second presentations on Friday, April 22. Please let us know if this poses any difficulty for anyone as soon as possible.

  • The Awards Banquet will be held Friday, April 22, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Entrée selections includes: grilled chicken breast with mushroom, grilled swordfish, or grilled vegetable rolled lasagna. Please let us know the entrée selection for each team member and advisor. Please email your selections to ckoo@ibecc.netby Friday, April 8.
  • Powerpoint presentations are due on Monday, April 11. Please do not use a web-based application. Email your presentation to If you need to make changes after the deadline, you may bring an updated version with you to the competition.
  • Tomorrow (March 30) is the last day to make your reservations at the Marriott and receive the discounted rate. Please go to the IBECC Marriott reservation pageor call Erin Ryan at 617-252-4445 to make your reservations.
  • We’ve just realized that Passover begins in the evening of the 22nd. If this presents any problems, please let us know. (We’d originally planned the competition for Tuesday-Thursday. When we moved it to Wednesday-Friday, we neglected to check about Passover. Our apologies.)
  • We now have 15 teams registered for the biathlon. That’s great, but still only 50% of the field. If you haven’t yet registered, please register now! To set up a fundraising page for your team, start by clicking here. Then click the “Fundraise for this campaign” button and enter the appropriate information.
  • Remember that there is a $500 prize for the team that raises the most money. Holy Cross is the current leader at $120.
  • We’re shortly going to post advice from our senior judges on our Twitter feed. That information will only be found on our @IBECCEthics feed, so follow us for #IBECC2016 updates.

Thank you!
