The 2017 International Business Ethics Case Competition (IBECC) will take place at the J. W. Marriott Santa Monica Le Merigot from April 19-21. We are currently looking for individuals in the Los Angeles area who would be interested in judging one or more sessions on Thursday, April 20.
Student teams in the competition research a contemporary issue in business ethics of their own choosing. They prepare a 25-minute presentation that explains the legal, financial and ethical dimensions of their problem. They then propose a solution that must pass muster on all three counts. Judges question the teams for another 20 minutes, and then give the teams feedback on their performance.
Thirty-six teams from 5 countries will compete this year. Presentations begin at a variety of times throughout the day: 8:30, 9:45, 11:00, 1:30, 2:45 and 4:00. Sessions run 75 minutes.
