Memo #2- Deadline info

Dear IBECC Participants:

Please see below for further information about participating in the International Business Ethics Case Competition (IBECC) to be held from April 21-23, 2015  in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event is co-sponsored by the Center for Ethics and Business at Loyola Marymount University, the Opus College of Business of the University of St. Thomas (MN), and the Ethics & Compliance Officer Association (ECOA).

1.  Registration Form

Please fill out the IBECC Registration Form and send it to Chiray Koo at ckoo@ibecc.net by Monday, Feb. 16.  If you are unable to complete this form in its entirety, that is fine.

2.  Registration Fee

This year, we are instituting a registration fee.  The cost to enroll one team is $400 and for two teams it will be $600.  Please go to https://lmutpg.lmu.edu/C20995_ustores/web/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCTID=274&SINGLESTORE=true  to enroll your school.

We are currently holding a place for you in the competition, but entry is not guaranteed until the registration fee has been paid.

3.  Hotel

The event will be held at the luxurious Loews New Orleans.  We have secured a rate of $209 + tax as a nightly rate.  For booking reservations, please go to

Awards will be announced and prize money will be distributed the evening of the 23rd, so please do not book your flight home before Friday the 24th.

4.   Presentation Guidelines

Further information on presentation guidelines and the program can be found at www.ibecc.net .  Please refer to that site regularly for updates.  Also, it will be extremely helpful to review some videos on the VIDEO section of the website to get an idea of how things are done.

5.   Visa Letter

If you are an international team, please let us know as soon as possible if you need us to provide a letter to secure a visa.

6.  Executive Summary

The Executive Summary for your team’s presentation is due by Friday, March 20.  Instructions and the PDF form can be found athttp://cba.lmu.edu/media/lmucollegeofbusinessadministration/centerceb/documents/2011+Executive+Summary+Form-Template.pdf.pdf .  Please send this to Chiray Koo at ckoo@ibecc.netYou may bring an updated version of your Executive Summary to the event.

7.  PowerPoint


The PowerPoint for your team’s presentation will be due on Friday, April 10.  Please send this to Chiray Koo at
ckoo@ibecc.net.   You may bring an updated version of your PowerPoint to the event.

8.  Division (Undergraduate or Graduate)

Please let us know if you will be sending an Undergraduate, Graduate team or both.

9. IBECC 2015 Schedule

                Tuesday, April 21 –  Welcome Orientation (evening)

                Wednesday, April 22 – Full Presentations

                Thursday, April 23  – 10 minute/90 second Presentations and Awards Ceremony

                Friday, April 24 – Departure date for teams

Since the Welcome Orientation will be held in the evening, Tuesday may be used as a travel day.  However, all teams should plan to stay through Thursday evening and not check out until Friday morning.
