CALL FOR JUDGES

The 2018 International Business Ethics Case Competition (IBECC) will take place at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel from April 18-20. We are currently looking for individuals in the Boston area who would be interested in judging one or more sessions on Thursday, April 19.

Student teams in the competition research a contemporary issue in business ethics of their own choosing. They prepare a 25-minute presentation that explains the legal, financial and ethical dimensions of their problem. They then propose a solution that must pass muster on all three counts. Judges question the teams for another 20 minutes, and then give the teams feedback on their performance.

Forty teams from eight countries will compete this year. Presentations begin at a variety of times throughout the day: 8:00, 9:15, 10:30, 11:45, 1:00, 2:15, 3:30 and 4:45. Sessions run 75 minutes. We ask for a commitment to judge only one presentation, although judges may evaluate multiple sessions if they desire.
